「ティンカリング」で子どもたちが映写機の解体を体験！

「ティンカリング」は東京都教育委員会による「未来きらめきプロジェクト」のイベントとして、東京都多摩地域を中心に展開されている、学校に行きづらさを感じている子どもたちのためのプロジェクトです。

むさし府中アルキヴィオも仲間に加えていただき、「映像」コーナーを担当しました。
昨日開催されたワークショップでは、コマドリアニメ制作や映写機体験に加え、初の「映写機を解体する」コーナーが大盛況！

子どもたちの集中力が炸裂し、会場はすごい熱気でした。
アルキヴィオメンバーでもある映像作家で（整備士の資格もお持ちの！）ヤジマチサト士さんによる粘り強いサポートで、子どもたちは工具の使い方をみるみるマスター。

何より印象的だったのは、「ここでは壊していいよ」という言葉に、親御さんも子どもたちも本当に嬉しそうだったこと。

普段、どれだけ「〜しちゃダメ」というルールに縛られているかハッとさせられました。
子どもたちの世界を自由に解き放つ場所を作る。
そんな大人としての責任と喜びを感じた一日でした。

私自身、「映写機を子どもたちと一緒に解体する」というややクレイジーなアイデアに「もったいないかも...？」と、躊躇する瞬間はありました。
しかし、やってみると、子どもたちの生き生きとした表情に、親御さんのほっとした表情も合わせて、本当にやってよかった、と思いました。

対象：
様々な理由で学校に通っていなかったり、行きにくさを感じていたりするお子さま、その保護者さま
内容：自分の好きや誰かの好きに詰まっている種を蒔いて育ててみよう

ティンカーとは修理屋さん、
ティンカリングってなんでもいじり回してみること。
好きだな、触れてみたいなと思うことに
気軽に近づいて、こわして作って、出会ってみよう。
カフェのイメージで訪れた方が居心地よく取り組める空間、1人でくつろぎながらじっくり取り組んでも、誰かと一緒に試してみても、自宅からのオンライン参加も可能な
場。
保護者の見学・参加・不参加、保護者のみの見学・参加、すべて大歓迎、保護者の方もくつろいだりおしゃべりしたり過ごしていただけます。

Kids Experience Taking Apart Film Projectors at the "Tinkering" Workshop!

"Tinkering" is an initiative hosted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Board of Education as part of its "Mirai Kirameki (Shining Future) Project." Held primarily across the Tama region in Tokyo, it offers engaging programs for children who face challenges or feel uncomfortable going to school.

Musashi Fuchu Archivio was delighted to join as a collaborator, taking charge of the "Moving Image" corner!

At yesterday's workshop, alongside stop-motion animation making and hands-on projector experiences, our brand-new "Take-Apart-a-Projector" corner was a massive hit! The venue was filled with incredible energy as the children focused deeply on their tasks.

With patient, hands-on support from filmmaker (and certified mechanic!) Yajimachi Satoshi, who is also an Archivio member, the kids quickly mastered how to handle the tools.

What left the deepest impression on me was hearing the parents and children react with pure joy when we told them, "It's completely okay to break things here." It made me realize just how much their everyday lives are bound by rules like "Don't touch that" or "Don't break it."

Creating a space where children can freely explore and unleash their inner world felt like both a great responsibility and a genuine privilege as adults.

To be honest, I had a moment of hesitation before the event, wondering if my slightly crazy idea of having kids disassemble real film projectors might be "a bit wasteful." But seeing the beaming faces of the children and the relieved, happy smiles of their parents, I knew beyond a doubt that it was the right decision.
